Barclays and Bank of America see looming oil crunch
Bank of America
and Barclays Capital, two leading oil traders, have told clients to brace for
crude above $100 (£64) a barrel by next year, before it pushes relentlessly
higher over the decade. This is a stark contrast from recessions in the 1980s
and 1990s, when it took years to work off excess drilling capacity built in the
boom.
"Oil has the potential to flirt with $100 this year. We forecast an average
price of $137 by 2015," said Amrita Sen, an oil expert at BarCap. The price has
doubled to $78 in the last year.
"The groundwork for the next sustained step up in oil prices is now almost
complete. Global spare capacity is likely to be reduced to low levels within a
relatively short time. The global economic crisis has postponed, but not
cancelled, a crunch which would otherwise be starting to bite now," said
Barclays.
Francisco Blanch, from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, said crude may touch $105
next year, with $150 in sight by 2014. "Approximately 1.7bn consumers in
emerging markets with a per capita income of $5,000 to $20,000 are eagerly
waiting to buy cars, air-conditioning units, or white goods," he said.
China has overtaken the US as the world's top car market. Mr Blanch expects oil
demand to rise by a further 2.8m barrels per day (bpd) in China and 2.5m bpd in
India by 2015, when two giants will be absorbing the lion's share of Gulf
output. Consumption in the West has already peaked and will fall each year as
populations shrink and we waste less, but the West no longer sets the price.
Global use will increase by 8.8m bpd to 95m bpd.
Supply is scarce. Sir Richard Branson warned this month that the world faces
'peak oil' within five years. "Don't let the oil crunch catch us out in the way
that the credit crunch did," he said.
Mr Blanch said output from non-OPEC states is falling by 4.9pc each year,
despite Russia's reserves. Saudi Arabia and the Emirates can plug a quarter of
the gap, but global spare capacity must soon drop to wafer-thin levels – leaving
us vulnerable to the sort of "super-spike" seen in 2008. The wildcard is whether
Iraq can quadruple output to Saudi levels this decade, a target dismissed by
most analysts as pie-in-the-sky.
Painfully high prices are needed to unlock fresh supplies as reserves are
depleted in the North Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. Deep-water rigs off Brazil are
costly and require drilling far below the seabed. Canadian oil sands and US
biofuels have break-even costs near $70. While the US, UK, and the Far East are
turning to nuclear power, it takes a decade to build reactors. "peak uranium"
lurks in any case.
The oil spike brought the global economy to a shuddering halt in 2008. This time
the crunch may hit before the West has fully recovered. Whatever happens, the
US, Europe and Japan will soon transfer a chunk of their wealth to the
petro-powers. It is a new world order.
Will Turkey Lead A Revived Islamic Caliphate?

terrorist-turned-Christian Walid Shoebat is warning that the United States needs
to be watching not Iran, Syria or even Hamas and Hezbollah as closely as it
needs to follow the actions of the Islamic leaders of Turkey.
It was just a few months ago when Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin reported Turkey
appeared to be seeking the restoration of the old Ottoman Empire.

The report said Turkey's increasing disinterest in the European Union combined
with its efforts to re-establish its influence in Turkic countries of
Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan and its
outreaches to Russian, Syria and Iran are cause for concern.
At the time, the shift by Tayyip Recep Erdogan, Turkey's leader, from West to
East was obvious, because Turkey announced it was cutting Israel out of annual
military exercises involving NATO forces while it sought out military exercises
with Syria.
Now Shoebat, the grandson of the Muslim Mukhtar of Beit Sahour-Bethlehem and a
friend of Haj-Ameen Al-Husseini, the grand mufti of Jerusalem and notorious
friend of Adolf Hitler, is worried about what Turkey is saying and doing.

As a young man, Shoebat was part of the Palestinian Liberation Organization and
participated in acts of terror and violence against Israel. After moving to the
U.S., he worked for the Arab Student Organization at Loop College in Chicago and
continued his anti-Israel activities. In 1993, Walid studied the Tanach (Jewish
Bible) in a challenge to convert his wife to Islam, finishing up by changing
sides.
"Turkey is the biggest threat," he told WND in an interview. "Turkey is the
strongest military power in the region, and it's the second largest army in
NATO. The statements coming out of Turkey should be of great concern to
Americans."
"Erdogan is saying 1.5 billion Muslims are waiting for the Turkish government to
arise. This is pretty scary. Turkey rules only 70 million people so why are they
talking about 1.5 billion Muslims?" continued Shoebat, who has written "For God
or For Tyranny: When Nations Deny God's Natural Law" as well as "God's War on
Terror."
About 98 percent of Turkey's estimated 74 million people are Muslim.
"Erdogan has made the statements, and he's impacting a youth movement in Turkey
that is calling for the glory days of the Turkish rule through the Caliphate.
Let's not forget the history," he said.

"It was Turkey that lost the power of Islam when the Caliphate was dismantled
and Shariah law was no longer the law of the land," Shoebat said.
At the end of World War I, Mustafa Kemal, who became Kemal Ataturk, dissolved
the Ottoman Empire and moved to form a secular Turkish state.
"The youth movement believes that Turkey is the hub from which Islam must rise
again," Shoebat said. "We need to look at Turkish activities to see the danger.
"It is the political agenda of these [Islamic] governments that we need to be
aware of and not just the military apparatuses," Shoebat said.
He said the creation of the worldwide Muslim Brotherhood – and all the terror it
sponsors – was spawned by the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire.
"In 1924, the Caliphate was dismantled by the West, and this is why Muslims hate
the West. Americans don't understand why Muslims hate us so much. In 1928, four
years later, the Muslim Brotherhood was born. This is the umbrella of all the
Muslim terrorist organizations," he said.
"The Muslim Brotherhood is the mother, and it was established four years after
the dissolution of the Turkish Ottoman Empire. This really answers the whole
question when people ask about the roots of Islamic terrorism," he said.
"They ask if it's because we invaded Iraq or because Israel occupies their
territory. That's not true, because in 1928, there was no occupation of Iraq,
and there was no occupation of 'Palestine.' This Islamic movement has never
ceased to attempt to establish a Shariah hegemony in that region," he said.
So what's going on at this point?
"So we see now the metastasizing of the Muslim Brotherhood into all parts of the
Muslim world from Algeria to Syria to Lebanon to Egypt everywhere, even in the
United States of America," Shoebat said.
"All the Islamic organizations in the United States of America, no exception,
are branches of the Muslim Brotherhood and they have made their declarations of
their plans publicly. So, we have ample evidence to recognize that this is an
old threat, this is an old war," he said.
A recent crisis confronted Turkey when a number of top army commanders were
arrested after being accused of plotting to bomb mosques and overthrow the
"increasingly Islamic-oriented" government.
The army commanders reportedly feared a growing fundamental Islamic influence
across the country.
Shoebat also warned it is dangerous for freedom-loving interests to announce a
date for a coalition pullout of Iraq.
"If we create that vacuum, and in the Middle East vacuums are always filled up,
this vacuum, I guarantee you, will be filled by Iran. They see the writing on
the wall that America is going to pull out. 'Just be patient and lay low. We
move in and we take that country in the future,'" Shoebat said.
He said if that happens, Islamic interests will have the region "all the way to
the border of Israel."
"Iran is definitely working on a nuclear weapon and we definitely need to have a
presence in the region to keep Iran at bay," Shoebat said.
There have been reports of increasing Shariah-related violence within Turkey.
Agence France-Presse reported just weeks ago how a 16-year-old girl was buried
alive by relatives in a gruesome honor killing just because she reportedly
befriended boys.
Police reported finding the body of Medine Memi in a hole outside her house in
Kahta about six weeks after she disappeared. Authorities reported her father and
grandfather were arrested.
Shoebat now lives in the U.S. with his family, but keeps his location secret for
protection. He's spoken at Harvard, Columbia, Concordia, UCLA, USC, the
University of Georgia, Washington University, Penn State and other universities.
Media outlets worldwide have reported on his life's work.
Most Western analysts would regard this as good news: Muslims eschewing terrorism assimilating into a Western country, and even participating in the established political process! What could be the downside? Well, there are several. First, the fact that the new political party is specifically Muslim is a sign that those who formed it are not assimilating and adopting various views along the Western political spectrum, but are merely furthering the cause of Islam as a political entity in Spain. For what could a Muslim political party possibly stand for except for Sharia values? Second, although the focus in officialdom in the U.S. and Europe is wholly and solely on "terrorism," actually the real threat is the attempt to impose Sharia in the West, whether by violent or peaceful means. The establishment of this political party is just an exercise in the peaceful, rather than violent, spread of Sharia norms in the West.

For nearly twenty
years the great sham of the Middle East Peace Process has dragged on. And this
despicable scam has consisted of only one policy, only one platform and only one
plan. Pressuring Israel for more concessions.
Year in and year out, new peace conferences were declared and new plans for
peace were hammered out. All of them had one thing in common, they carved up
Israel for a non-existent peace. When Arafat and his gang of terrorists made a
concession, it was to demand 5 percent less of Israel in the current phase of
negotiations. When Israel made a concession, it was to turn over another 10
percent of land to its worst enemies in this phase of negotiations… in exchange
for them putting off their demands for that 5 percent into the next phase of the
negotiations. And this sick charade in which Israel gave and the terrorists took
was the peace process.
While this great surrender process was going on, outside the bombs went on
exploding, tearing apart buses, restaurants, malls and families—the politicians
and diplomats in charge excused the terrorists and damned Israel if it so much
as lifted a finger to defend itself, or erected a single checkpoint to catch at
least one of the terrorists on the way to kill a dozen people in Jerusalem.
And now finally the Vice President of the United States arrives in Israel to
reaffirm his absolute commitment to Israel’s security, a commitment he and just
about every other politician who let that phrase trip lightly off their lips,
honors by pressing Israel to surrender again the terrorists. He arrives and
condemns the greatest impediment to peace. Jewish families living in the capital
of their own nation.
Biden did not take the time to condemn Abbas for his failure to hold elections,
for his attendance at a funeral for the terrorists in his own militia who
murdered an Israeli Rabbi, for his violation of the Gaza Jericho agreement or
for his recent threats of a Holy War against Israel. Not even the Palestinian
Authority naming a municipal square two days ago after Dalal Mughrabi, one of
the Coastal Road Massacre bus hijackers, resulted in any statements of
condemnation. Let us for a moment balance the horrifying scene of Jews moving
into new apartments in Jerusalem, vs the Coastal Road Massacre in which Fatah
terrorists murdered Gail Rubin, an American nature photographer, hijacked a bus,
and murdered 38 passengers, 13 of them only children.
But the murder of Israelis never “undermines the trust we need right now”. Only
Jews living in East Jerusalem can do that. Not Israelis, Jews, for if Arab
citizens of Israel were moving into new buildings in East Jerusalem, Biden and
the media would not be condemning Israel for it. It is precisely Jews that are
the problem for the Obama Administration and its Media-Government Complex. Just
as they were a problem for Hitler and Stalin. Just as they have always been a
problem for would-be tyrants.
There are, of course, no worries about whether Israel will trust Abbas and his
Fatah gang. As if anybody in their right mind would, after nearly two decades of
terrorism that followed the ballyhooed signing of the Peace Accords and the
famous handshake overseen by a smiling Clinton. After violating nearly every
agreement he ever signed with Israel, Arafat unleashed a wave of terror, while
pocketing a fortune in foreign aid. And after every bombing, the same despicable
conglomeration of diplomats and politicians and diplopols that form the “World
Community” pointed Israel to the negotiating table. Their only solution, then as
now, was more concessions; by Israel to the terrorists—of course.
And so here we are in the splendid year 2010, 5770 in the Hebrew calendar, and
1431 in the Muslim calendar. In a few months it will be 43 years since the
Liberation of Jerusalem. Since Jews returned to the Old City they were
ethnically cleansed from by Muslim soldiers. And today the Hurva synagogue,
twice destroyed by Muslims, has been completely reconstructed. In 1948 the
Jordanian command expelled the Jews from East Jerusalem and destroyed the Hurva
synagogue, vowing that the Jews would never return. And today in the year 2010,
the Vice President of the United States comes on a mission to carry on their
work. That of the dynamiters and the bombers and the expellers.
This is where nearly two decades of negotiations have brought us. In the early
nineties, Israel was discussing the status of certain West Bank towns. Today,
Israel is being warned against allowing Jews to live in Jerusalem. Tomorrow… I
would dearly like to say that the possibilities are endless, but there are only
so many parts of Israel where Jews still live, and no doubt the eager ethnic
cleansers in the Obama Administration and the EU have plans for them, too.
And so the Middle East Peace Scam marches on. There is a great deal of
preparation for intense rounds of negotiations at which it will be determined
what else Israel must give for there to be no peace. East Jerusalem will
naturally end up on the table soon enough. Meanwhile the entire farce has less
legal basis than a kangaroo court and all the consistency of a drunken liar on
the witness stand.
Today there are three Palestinian states. One in Jordan, divided to create an
Arab State in the bygone days of the Palestine Mandate; A second state in Gaza,
which is ruled over by Hamas as part of the spoils from their war with Fatah; A
third state in the West Bank ruled over by Abbas and Fatah, even though his term
ended and there have been no new elections. Out of this hodgepodge, Israel is
expected to negotiate, even though Hamas refuses to negotiate any permanent
peace agreement, and Fatah has no legal authority to represent anyone.
You will not, of course, hear about any of this in the media, which is still
busy being outraged by the thought of Jews living in Jerusalem. When they’re not
being outraged by the thought of Israel treating Rachel’s Tomb as a heritage
site. After all, the Prime Minister of Turkey has declared that Rachel’s Tomb is
not Jewish, but Islamic. Just as all of Israel is Islamic. Just as all of the
world is Islamic. But the world isn’t paying attention. The world is certain
that the rage and violence of a billion Muslims can be calmed with some Jewish
land and Jewish blood. Just as the rage and violence of Nazism could be calmed
with some Czech land and blood.
But why listen to me? Listen instead to the soothing words of Ahmad Bahar, the
Speaker of the Palestinian Authority Parliament.
“Make us victorious over the infidel people… Allah, take hold of the Jews and
their allies, Allah, take hold of the Americans and their allies… Allah, count
them and kill them to the last one and don’t leave even one.”
Ah, but you say it’s about “the occupation”. And there will be peace when the
terrorists have all the land they feel they’re entitled to. But… no.
“Our enmity with the Jews is a matter of faith, more than an enmity owing to
occupation and the land.”
Oh yes, there will be peace when they have all the land that they feel Muslims
are entitled to. And this is the scope of their territorial demands.
“Soon, Allah willing, Rome will be conquered, like Constantinople was conquered,
according to the prophecy of our prophet Muhammad. Their capital will be the
first post of the Islamic conquests that will spread all over Europe then it
will turn to the two Americas and even to Eastern Europe.”
But don’t worry. Joseph Biden is deeply committed to fighting against Jewish
families living in Jerusalem. And the Middle East Peace Scam marches on.

Editors of Arab Dailies Assess:
A War between Iran and the West Is Imminent

In recent
articles, editors of Arab dailies assessed that a war between Iran and the West
is imminent, and did not rule out the possibility that the Arabs would take part
in it. The editor of the Al-Quds Al-Arabi daily, 'Abd Al-Bari 'Atwan, wrote that
the war would change the face of the region, and the fate of Israel's occupation
would be like that of the Nazi regime after World War II; the editor of the
Egyptian daily Al-Gumhouriyya, Muhammad 'Ali Ibrahim, stated that Iran has
already made the first move towards war; and Al-Sharq Al-Awsat editor Tariq
Alhomayed stated that whatever happens – whether Iran acquires nuclear weapons
or a war breaks out to prevent it from acquiring them – the Arabs will become
victims of the Iranian regime.
Following are excerpts from the editorials:
Al-Quds Al-Arabi Editor: If Israel Attacks Iran, Syria Is Likely to Fire Tens of
Thousands of Missiles at Israel, Some with Chemical and Biological Warheads
'Abd Al-Bari 'Atwan, editor of the London daily Al-Quds Al-Arabi, wrote in a
February 13 editorial that if Israel attacks Iran, Syria is likely to respond
with a brutal attack against it: "Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's
declaration that his country is a 'nuclear nation'... and that it can enrich
uranium to above 80%, exposes the real aim of Iran's nuclear program – that is,
to produce nuclear warheads. In a phone conversation with Syrian President
Bashar Al-Assad, he demanded that Syria wage war against Israel and eliminate
this country if it launches an attack in the region on Iran. In my view, this is
the most important development, particularly in light of the fact that
Ahmadinejad's demand comes at a time of stepped-up preparations for war by
Israel...
"I don't know how President Assad responded to the requests of his Iranian
colleague and ally, but according to Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Al-Mu'allem,
it appears that he felt that the explosion was imminent...
"There are two views regarding how Syria will respond if Israel attacks Iran,
either by itself or together with the U.S. One [view is that] the Syrian
government, in all its cleverness, will not lift a finger, preferring to take
its time... The second is that Syria will join in the war and fire tens of
thousands of missiles – including some with chemical and biological warheads –
at Israeli cities and targets, under [its] current binding agreement [with
Iran]...
"The second possibility is the more likely of the two. Perhaps the next war, if
it breaks out... will change the face of the region from top to bottom, just as
World War II did: Regimes will be wiped off the map, and others will take their
place. Perhaps Israel will be impacted most of all, and it is not inconceivable
that its fate as an occupier will be similar to that of the German Nazi
regime...
"The current American administration is already preparing for the new war with a
strangling blockade on Iran...
"Most of the pressure is now on China, so that it will not thwart a U.N.
Security Council international resolution on a blockade [against Iran]. These
pressures take the form of carrot and stick: The stick is the arming of Taiwan
and economic threats; the carrot is demonstrated by U.S. Secretary of State
Hillary Clinton's visit to Qatar and Saudi Arabia, aimed at persuading them to
sell gas and oil to China at low prices in order to compensate it for losses it
is likely to incur as a result of sanctions on Iran...
"Some talk of a six-month timetable for the war, which according to estimates,
is the time that Iran needs to produce nuclear weapons."
The U.S. Is Working to Line Up the Gulf States to Back Sanctions and a Military
Move against Iran
In a February 15 editorial, Atwan wrote: "...Hillary Clinton visited the Arabian
Gulf to focus efforts there prior to asking the U.N. Security Council for
strangling economic sanctions on Iran... This means that American diplomacy is
being implemented along with military preparations against Iran...
"Clinton's requests of her Gulf hosts can be boiled down to three points:"
"1) Making tempting offers to China of low-cost gas and oil ...
"2) Involving the Gulf countries in the blockade or economic sanctions on
Iran...
"3) Opening bases, ports, and airports of the Gulf states to American, and
perhaps also Israeli, planes, ships, and forces, in case of a military move
against Iran...
"It is too early to estimate to what extent the Gulf States will comply with the
American requests, but I believe they are likely to acquiesce, perhaps even
without any argument at all..."
Al-Gumhouriyya Editor: Iran Has Already Made the First Move towards War
Egyptian MP Muhammad 'Ali Ibrahim, editor of the Egyptian government daily Al-Gumhouriyya,
wrote in his editorial that Iran has already made the first move towards war,
but that only U.S. President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu know
when it will actually break out and what it will entail. "One can envision the
region as a chessboard with white and black pieces moving across it... The
opening move was made by Iran when it announced that it was beginning to enrich
uranium to 20%... As everyone knows, chess is a game played by two opponents,
but in the Middle East, Iran is playing against a very formidable rival
consisting of the U.S. and Israel, and with each passing day it acquires new
opponents and loses more of its allies. Syria seems to be hesitating,
although]Ahmadinejad has urged it to join the war should Israel attack the
resistance, [i.e.,] Hizbullah and Hamas...
"Iran is interested in this war, because it sees it as an opportunity to
suppress its domestic opposition and accuse it of cooperating with the West. It
also hopes that the shared sense of danger will prompt the Iranians to unite
around their leadership. The U.S. is also interested in the war, because it will
enable it to sell advanced weapons to the countries of the region, to impose its
air defense umbrella on the Gulf states, and to determine oil prices
independently of OPEC...
"Tehran is forgetting that there will be no ground war against it... Cruise
missiles and one-ton bombs will drop from the sky and carve craters seven
stories deep... But will this paralyze Iran? Will not Iran attack the Gulf
states and kill every American soldier in the region? And when will this
scenario materialize? Nobody knows for sure... except Obama and Netanyahu..."
Al-Sharq Al-Awsat Editor: The Arabs Are Victims of Iran
Al-Sharq Al-Awsat editor Tariq Alhomayed wrote that, to judge by the exchange of
threats between the sides, a war between Iran and the West is indeed brewing,
and that the Arabs are likely to become victims of the Iranian regime's moves.
He wrote: "Every war starts with words, and what we are currently witnessing is
a real war of words between Iran and the West. After threatening to close off
the Strait of Hormuz, Iran found itself trapped in an ongoing and dangerous
spiral of escalation vis-à-vis the U.S.... The day before yesterday, the White
House said that no option could be ruled out in dealing with Iran's nuclear
aspirations, including the military option...
"The most salient element in Iran's responses is Ahmadinejad's assessment
that a war will break out in the spring or summer, and his threats that if
Israel attacks, the resistance and the countries of the region will crush it. He
has also threatened that if new sanctions are imposed on his country in response
to its nuclear program, he will cause the superpowers to regret it. On the very
same day... Hassan Nasrallah threatened to bomb [Israel's] airport if this
country attacked Lebanon's airport... As I have often noted in the past, every
time Israel threatens Iran, Iran threatens the Gulf countries, and every time
Iran raises its voice [in a threat], Hassan Nasrallah repeats it statements like
an echo. The notable thing is that Ahmadinejad threatens Israel and the West...
not with his own country's weapons but in the name of 'the resistance and the
countries in the region'...
"If a war breaks out, it will be an Iranian war, and Iran will be its target...
Why then does Iran threaten to attack our region and our countries? This is not
our war, nor are we working to promote it – this war belongs only to Iran and
its proxies. As for us, we will be Iran's victims whether it acquires nuclear
weapons and whether a war breaks out against it..."

Iran has ordered an enrichment of its nuclear fuel to 20%. The country has also been buying more modern missiles and anti aircraft missile batteries from Moscow.
At one time we could say that Israel and the Israeli air force could on their own, take the Iranian nuclear facilities out of operation. Now it is nearly impossible. Iran has missile launchers that can roll onto the surface, fire missiles, and then roll again below ground to be unseen and well shielded. Iran has also made a pact with Arab neighbors similar to the NATO and World War II alliances. If Israel attacks Iran the other nations promise also to attack Israel. Syria is also armed to the teeth.
Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has stated several times that he believes that Islamic nations must precipitate a global war which will end in victory lead by their prophesied leader the Mahdi. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
believes he is the man to precipitate the war, and open the way for the Mahdi to arrive.

The Holy Prophet Muhammad(SAW) has prophesied about several events that will occur just before the advent of the day of judgment. Among these, Rasulullah(SAW) has foretold the advent of one of his descendants, Al Mahdi (the guided one), which will materialize when the believers are severely oppressed in every corner of the world. He will fight the oppressors, unite the Muslims, bring peace and justice to the world, rule over the Arabs, and lead a prayer in Mekkah at which Isa(pbuh) (Jesus) will be present.
Throughout the history of Islam, a few individuals -- driven either by the desperate state of Muslims in their community or a selfish pursuit of power and prestige -- laid claim to being Mahdi and found a following among the uninformed masses who were looking for salvation from the heavens. For some of these individuals (like Bab of Iran or Mirza Ghulam of India) the claim to being Mahdi was just a stepping stone to the development of heretic sects which broke away from the fold of Islam. Thus, it is at least prudent to visit the facts of this prophecy and avoid falling pray to false claimants that will appear from time to time.
As Muslims, we should remember that the prophecy about Mahdi is one that will come to pass. This prophecy, however, does not absolve the Muslim ummah from its duty to strive in the cause of Allah(SWT), oppose injustice, and seek peace and betterment of human condition. Centuries have passes from the time of the holy Prophet(SAW) and there is a good possibility that many more will expire before the advent of Al Mahdi. Muslims who are negligent in their duty hoping for a savior are committing a grave mistake and are not following the divine decrees ordained in Quran or taught by Rasulullah(SAW).

Bible prophecy says that eventually Israel will not be able to defend herself, and that God will have to do it. As I have stated in my volumes End of the Age and End of the Age II, I expect something “very big” to happen by the end of year 2012 and the first signs of war, or a big “peace treaty” making Israel feel as if they are safe and at peace should probably be expected. That also might imply that Jerusalem will permit Muslims to take over the Temple Mount area and take greater control of the area we know which once housed “The Holy of Holies” (and which I have explained is the spiritual “Center of the World.”)
Put your hands on your hips and ask me, “Yeah, well Steve, what plans are YOU making for the future?” I’ll certainly tell you I’m not building a house. I’m not taking a mortgage. I’m not planning a portfolio for a long term retirement. I plan to “travel light” and be able to travel any time, be very attached to God and his law as outlined in the first five books of the Bible, be in prayer constantly (it’s possible. I’m getting closer to that state all the time and I love it). My/our home may eventually be a small sailboat. My situation allows for that. (I’m nearly age 60 and have no children to look after.)

An oracle concerning Damascus:
"See, Damascus will no longer be a city

and turn their eyes to the Holy One of Israel.

They will not look to the altars,
the work of their hands,
and they will have no regard for the Asherah poles

and the incense altars their fingers have made.
9 In that day their strong cities, which they left because of the Israelites, will be like places abandoned to thickets and undergrowth. And all will be desolation.

You have forgotten God your Savior;
you have not remembered the Rock, your fortress.
Therefore, though you set out the finest plants
and plant imported vines,
11
though on the day you set them out, you make them grow,
and on the morning when you plant them, you bring them to bud,
yet the harvest will be as nothing
in the day of disease and incurable pain.

Oh, the raging of many nations—
they rage like the raging sea!
Oh, the uproar of the peoples—
they roar like the roaring of great waters!

Although the peoples roar like the roar of surging waters,
when he rebukes them they flee far away,
driven before the wind like chaff on the hills,
like tumbleweed before a gale.
14
In the evening, sudden terror!
Before the morning, they are gone!
This is the portion of those who loot us,
the lot of those who plunder us.

Apparently Damascus does not understand that ever since the end of World War II a “sect” of Judaism repeats the words “never again” regularly. They will not permit mass destruction without defending themselves with utmost force. Damascus will end up a blackened hole in the ground. All of this fits into Bible Prophecy for The End of the Age. Ayatollah Khomeini has promised that Israel will be erased and God has promised Israel and His people will be defended.
